FAQ:

 IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

All persons must be 5 years of age or older.

DO YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM?

YES!!! Everyone is required to know how to swim well in order to get on the river. The water can get up to 10 ft deep. Lifevest will be provided.

 HOW COLD IS THE WATER?

Water is released from the bottom of Buford Dam and is approximately 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

 WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Most wear swimsuits. However, any comfortable clothes that can get wet will work. We also recommend flip flops or river shoes.

HOW LONG IS THE FLOAT DOWN THE RIVER?

The 4 mile float take between 3-4 hours depending on river flow rate.

IS THE DROP OFF AND PICK UP IN THE SAME LOCATION?

For the 4 mile float, the office/where you park at is located at 4349 Abbots Bridge Road. We then shuttle you approximately 4 minutes up the road to Abbotts Bridge Park where you will enter the water. You then float 3-4 hours down the river and get off at Medlock Bridge Park. Once you are out of the water, a shuttle will pick you up and bring you back to the office.

ARE FOOD AND DRINK ALLOWED ON THE RIVER?

Yes. Food and drinks are allowed to be brought on the river. That being said, no glass or styrofoam is allowed. Park Rangers will issue fines to anyone with glass or styrofoam on the river.

Rule of thumb: What goes on the river must come off the river.

IS THERE WILDLIFE ON THE RIVER?

Yes. You will see fish, turtles, and birds on the river. These are wild animals so please be sure to leave them alone and observe from a distance.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING ON SIGHT?

Yes. We have LIMITED parking at our office located at 4349 Abbotts Bridge Rd. Please carpool as much as possible.  Parking is $5/car on Saturdays and Sundays only, and accept Venmo, Cash-app, or cash

 ARE THERE ANY RAPIDS?

No. It is a very relaxing, lazy river float.

CAN YOU BRING YOUR OWN TUBE OR KAYAK?

At this time we do not allow people to bring their own personal tubes.  Everyone must float on one of ours.  You are however allowed to bring a personal cooler tube to float with you.

You can bring your own kayak. There is a $30 shuttle fee.

 CAN YOU BRING YOUR DOG?

Absolutely! Dogs are welcome. If tube is popped by animals there will be a replacement fee.
